WORDS. STORIES. MOMENTUM.

Event Inspiration

Weekly journalism for the events industry: interviews, research, trends and ideas with my own name on them. Slightly terrifying at first; eventually a very good excuse to keep asking interesting people questions.

Usually, I get hired as an anonymous wordsmith to forge copy for agencies and clients. It’s pretty comfortable for me to work away from the spotlight, letting other businesses shine with the right words to whatever they want to say.

So I was hesitant at first when I got approached by Event Inspiration to blog about the event industry on a weekly basis. Not only because this kind of work is closer to journalism than to copywriting, with research and interviews and all that, but also because my own name is under each and every article. Yikes!

After a few test articles I got the hang of it and got over my stage fright. Now I’m blogging for Event Inspiration on a regular basis. If you can read Dutch, you might enjoy some of the articles, as they often include insights that are relevant to other aspects of life as well. Really trying to kill time? Then try this long read on awareness and sustainability, which is not as boring as it sounds 😉
